The mobile app will now display an unread message count badge on the app icon. When a message is received that has not been read by the patient, a count of these unread messages will be displayed on the app icon in the following manner:
When a patient reads a message inside the mobile app, the number will be automatically adjusted. If there are no unread messages, this badge (along with the number) will not be shown. Two items of note for this new feature are:
- A patient must have push notifications enabled for the mobile app to display this unread message count badge.
- Some Android phones will only display a red badge, but will not show the unread count number. This is a limitation imposed by the device manufacturer.
