Upon using the Weigh In feature to sync the App to the Scale if an error message is seen " Cannot Start Scanning Operation " this is unrelated to the scale and can easily be fixed.
To resolve this issue simply perform the following steps:
STEP #1:
Open Settings on your Smartphone.
STEP #2:
Go to Bluetooth.
STEP #3:
Turn Bluetooth Off for about 15 seconds then Turn Bluetooth On.
